MARCH 2010

Saturday 13th
Pulborough Brooks and Warnham.

A two-part day of late winter birdwatching. We will start off at Pulborough (RSPB) and proceed after lunch to the
Surrey Wildlife Trust reserve at Warnham.
Picnic or cafe lunch.
Meet in the car park at Pulborough Brooks at OS 197 TQ 062173.
Entrance fee for non members at both reserves.

Saturday 27th
Rainham Marshes.

This popular RSPB reserve, situated on the Essex Side of the Thames, is good for waterbirds, large numbers of gulls and, hopefully, some early migrants too.
Meet in the car park (£1) at OS 177 TQ 552792.
Picnic lunch.
Entrance charge for non-RSPB members. Visitor Centre & facilities on site.

Our annual evening walk around the lake and along the rivers Colne & Frays. Bring a bat detector if you have one. Joint meeting with Minet Country Park.

Rutland Water.

A visit to this vast, man-made reservoir where there is a good chance of seeing the regularly-visiting Ospreys.
Also good for waders and summer migrants. Visitor Centre, facilities and many hides on site. Picnic lunch.
